Jurgen Klopp Outlines Celebration Plan if Liverpool Awarded Two More Premier League Titles

Jurgen Klopp has hinted at a grand celebration if Liverpool are retroactively awarded two more Premier League titles due to Manchester City's ongoing legal troubles.

At a farewell event at the M&S Bank Arena, Klopp addressed 11,000 fans, reflecting on his tenure and discussing Manchester City's 115 charges for alleged breaches of financial rules. The German manager, who recently concluded his Liverpool tenure, humorously agreed to a bus parade if the club were awarded the 2018/19 and 2021/22 titles, seasons in which Liverpool finished as runners-up to City by a single point.

During the Q&A session, host John Bishop brought up the potential title adjustments. "You leave this club having won the Premier League once," Bishop noted. "There could be a court decision that means you’ve won the Premier League three times..." Klopp quipped back, "If you organise a bus parade, I’m in! How long it takes I don’t care."

City's charges, which they deny, stem from alleged financial misconduct, with a resolution still pending. This topic was one of the most discussed on Bishop's Instagram, reflecting fans' keen interest in the potential outcomes and implications.

Klopp's remarks at the event were not his first on City's alleged breaches. Before leaving Liverpool, he expressed curiosity about the final verdict on City’s actions. “No matter what has transpired at Manchester City, Pep Guardiola is the best manager in the world — and that is truly significant,” Klopp had said. “If you put any other manager in that club, they don't win the league four times in a row. That's down to him and his team."

Reflecting on City's charges, Klopp added, "Does that mean they can do whatever they want? No. But I don't know what they did — if they did anything — and I'm not here to say they have. We will see. Of course, I would like to know (if City are guilty) one day. Everyone wants to know. But I will be somewhere else."

Klopp’s final farewell event featured performances by The Lightning Seeds, The Zutons, and opera singer Alfie Boe, who delivered a stirring rendition of "You'll Never Walk Alone." This emotional gathering marked the end of an era for Liverpool, with fans showing their gratitude and Klopp sharing a few final laughs and insights.
